The route is a cycle loop of more than 800 kilometers across the southern part of the country. An odyssey through maritime Denmark with eight bridges and five ferries – or more, because there are plenty of 'extra' small islands along the way. The East Coast Route is great if you like the sea, beaches and water sports, but culturally interested cyclists will like it as well. One example: a town in Southern Jutland is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

A few minutes from the pedestrian street, you will find the country's smallest castle, which exhibits several thousand works of art from the 18th century to the present day, primarily by Southern Jutland artists such as C.W. Eckersberg and Jes Jacobsen. You should set aside some time for that as well.
