The maritime center in North Jutland is Frederikshavn, still a maritime town with ferries to Sweden, Norway and Læsø. Early risers should ride north and find the fishing auction at the harbor in Strandby. If you like steep hills, you can cycle into Sæbygård Forest, and you can park your bike at the Professor's Plantage between Sæby and Lyngså and search for amber on the beach.

The salt marsh at Asaa and Geraa are a game reserve: a mini wadden sea with lots of migratory and breeding birds. At Tofte Lake are even more birds: it is one of the country's largest cormorant colonies. The moraine hills at Dokkedal offer a nice view of the Kattegat and Lille Vildmose, and there are marked hiking trails in the area. The ferry ride across the Limfjord takes five minutes.

Djurs Sommerland is the largest amusement park in the Nordic countries, and the rollercoasters are the largest in Denmark, so enjoy! The Tustrup passage grave by Hevring Å is also one of the country's largest. In Bønnerup, the fishing harbor is still active, and the cozy town is perfect for a lunch break. At Udbyhøj you cross Randers Fjord with a tow cable ferry.

Set aside some time to experience Grenå and the square with the old town hall and the church, built around the year 1300. Museum Østjylland Grenaa conveys the area's cultural history from the Stone Age to the present day. In Ebeltoft you can board the frigate Jylland, the world's longest wooden ship.
